Via 20/20 LDN Recordings – Ivy Lab swiftly follow up their Two Fingers collaboration ‘Orange’ with a new four track EP entitled ‘Stars’.
“This EP is probably the most personal, pensive and soulful collection of music we’ve released to date. The project leans towards a more peaceful, serene aesthetic in contrast to recent releases of ours like the Two Fingers collaboration. We’re eager to see how this resonates with listeners, and long time followers might find some semblance in mood to our early liquid drum & bass output. Copping the chance to work alongside Barclay Crenshaw (AKA Claude Vonstroke) was a real thrill too – dude is a stalwart of the scene and his sense of funk and melody shines through on ‘Betty White’

North London outfit Ivy Lab were brought together out of a shared enthusiasm for experimentations on the fringes of the UK bass music scene. The duo of Sabre (Gove Kidao) and Stray (J. Fogel), released their acclaimed debut album ‘Death Don’t Always Taste Good’ in 2018 (“A sound that finds a middle ground between drum & bass, dubstep, hip-hop and techno, powered by colossal sound design” Resident Advisor), produced one of BBC Radio 1’s top five Essential Mixes of the year, played worldwide from London to Tokyo to Berlin to New York, and continued to build the 20/20 LDN stable.
