Wandl – It’s All Good Tho

Label: Affine Records

Kramos’ favorite tracks: “Fever” & “It’s all good tho”.

Via Affine Records “22-year-old Vienna-resident Wandl developed into one of the most progressive and interesting European producers in recent years. His longplay-debut brings his take on melodic vocals and experimental, bass driven instrumentals to the fore…he plays almost all the instruments, channels his vocals through machines, alienates and exposes them – and he’s not shy of monumental hooks.”

Miles Bonny & Shhor – Way EP

This is the first EP from Miles Bonny & Shhor together, and to make sure it’s indispensable in your digital collection, they engage geniuses Tall Black Guy and The Xtraordinair$ for two on point remixes.

Profusion – Where do I begin?

Label: First Word Records

This time it’s real, we finally have the full LP from Emeson & K15, and it definitely meets our expectations!

Via First Word “This album is full to the brim with summery sun-soaked synths, drifting across the warmest of basslines and heavyweight beats. Emeson’s rich vocals gracefully ride atop of K15’s delectably bruk twist on neo-soul sonics and electronics…”

The NCY Milky Band – Billy & Bess

Label: BMM Records

Very intriguing soulful instrumental project from this French band we just discovered. You can grab the 45 on the Bandcamp page.

“It is difficult to classify these records. At the same time deep and second degree, jazz & funky, may be that the calling “rare french groove” is the most appropriate.”

Profusion – Where do I begin?

Label: First Word Records

We’ve been waiting for the full LP from Emeson & K15 for a long time, knowing that the music was ready and the only thing missing was the right label to put it out. The wait is not totally over, but thanks to First Word Records, we have a taste of what’s to come, and it’s delightful, to say the least!

Via First Word “Sun-soaked synths drift across the warmest of basslines and neck-snapping beats. Emeson’s rich vocals gracefully ride atop of K15’s delectably bruk twist on neo-soul sonics, this is seriously classy contemporary London soul music.”

Miles Bonny – Miister Man

Label: Bastard Jazz

This track, in homage of Prince, appeared a year ago on Miles Bonny Soundcloud profile (We played it in the Fresh Taste #35 mix). In the pile of tracks honoring this legend music that came out right after is death, this was definitely one of my favorite. You can now grab that on wax with this 7″ official release.

Via Bastard Jazz ” “Miister Man” goes for the jugular with a low slung drum break, a deep synth bassline, Miles signature understated funky vocal growls and horn injections.”
